After releasing Mr. Nutz: Hoppin' Mad (1994) for the Amiga, plans were announced to release a version of it named Mr. Nutz 2 for the Sega Genesis, positioning it as a sequel to the original Mr. Nutz (1993). Despite the game being far enough along for multiple magazines to publish hands-on previews of their time playtesting the game, the Genesis version never released.[189][190][191]
