For 6-button controllers, a weapon-switching function has been added to toggle between the plasmagun and the submachine gun.

“X” – switch to plasmagun
“Z” – switch to submachine gun

The controller driver has been rewritten to add support for 6-button controllers, as the original game treated all gamepads as 3-button models and completely ignored the status of the X, Y, Z, and Mode buttons.
