Hexaduel is a simple turn-based strategy game for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.  Play against another human or against the AI on a random board or a selection of predefined boards!Fight to take over each other's territory by placing and moving pips on a grid of hexes. Each hex can hold 1-6 pips.

Each hex can hold 1-6 pips.Each player's turn has two phases:In the Attack phase, you can move pips from your hexes into adjacent enemy hexes.If your hex has more pips than your opponent's hex, you move all but one pip onto their hex and that hex turns your color.  Your opponent loses all the pips on that hex.If your hex has less or equal pips to your opponent, you lose all  but one pip on that hex and your enemy loses one pip.  The defender has the advantage, but attacks from multiple weaker hexes can whittle down a single strong hex!You cannot redistribute pips among your own hexes.  Pips can only be moved onto enemy hexes.In the Fortify phase, you can place pips on any of your owned hexes.The number of pips you can place each turn is determined by how many hexes you own at the start of your turn.Hexes gained during a turn's attack phase do not change the number of pips earned in that turn.Use the D-pad to highlight hexes, and select hexes with A.  B deselects a hex, or when no hexes are selected, holding B shows the current phase and number of pips left.  Hold C to end a phase.Hexaduel is a work-in-progress, so I may add or change features based on feedback.  There may still be some major balance issues, so feedback is welcome! With the current rules, I have worked to try to reduce stalemates, but this means many games can lead to a quick steamroll as soon as one player gets enough of a resource advantage.There are secret button combinations to enable the AI for player 1 (allowing for AI vs. AI battles) and to play some terrible music, if you can figure them out!
