Released as an arcade game in 1989, a version for the Sega Genesis was in development in the early 1990s by M.N.M. Software while working on a Genesis port of Slap Fight. When a core development member was so overworked that they needed to cut back on work for health reasons, Slap Fight was focused on and released in 1993, while Rally Bike was cancelled.[234][235]
