With this release of V1.0, the SOR2 hack “Sailors of Rage: Senshi Wars” has been retitled “Senshi Wars: Beryls Revenge” to reflect the new update and story, and to pay homage to the hack “Shredders Re-Revenge” by Savok and PPI_Akiko. Intro art and text has been updated to reflect the new villainess. New enemies on Stage 3, 4, 7 and 8. Now this hack changes ALL characters in SOR2! New stage 4 boss. Watch out! She is powerful. New SFX and colors on some texts. Rare Emeralds give you 25,000 points each. 1-UP sprite replaced with a Luna plush. Back attacks now have SFX when whiffed. Neptune and many enemies/bosses now have proper female KO cries. Neptune now has SFX when performing her Defensive Special. Neptune is now chibi when spawning, just like the inner senshi. Neptune no longer has a glitched name on the High Score Table. Her ally name is also now “MICHI” instead of “???” (there is a 5 character limit, Michiru won’t fit) Venus now has unique voice lines for Venus Love Me Chain and Explosion Chain. Adjusted enemy and item placements further. Very slightly adjusted health, damage values and frame data of some enemies to be less punishing. Small balancing adjustments for the 6 Senshi. Now included in the download is a .txt file with character breakdowns, special move lists and tips for each of the Senshi.
