This is an ips patch for the Genesis Mega Drive ROM file, Streets of Rage 2 (USA). There are two patches:

Streets of Rage 2 Strafe (U) [!].ips:

Quickly pressing the directional keys UP, UP or DOWN, DOWN will move you quickly UP or DOWN.

You can customize it to your liking by changing the following offsets in a binary editor.

Down Animation Number $24C89,$24C8F
Down Sound Effect or Voice $24CAA
Up Animation Number $24CF9,$24CFF
Up Sound Effect or Voice $24D1A
Adding D9 AA 00 44 or 99 AA 00 44 starting with $24C7E or $24CEE will increase the movement distance.

Streets of Rage 2 (U) [!] ROLLING kai.ips:

A modified version of the above Streets of Rage 2 Strafe (U) [!]. Adds Up and Down rolling animations for Axel and Blaze.

By-product:

Entering DOWN,UP or UP,DOWN will produce the same effect.
Pressing B during high-speed vertical movement will produce a BLITZ. -A Hadoken command will also produce a BLITZ.

Version 1.0a

The movement distance was too small, so it has been increased.
