The first entry of the Disney's Magical Quest series was originally released on the SNES in 1992. Shortly after, a Sega Genesis version was announced, and far enough along to be presented at CES 1994, but its release was cancelled in favor of releasing the second entry in the series, The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie, at the same time of its SNES counterpart, in late 1994.[166][6]
