Under normal circumstances, the audio simply doesn’t play on the emulated ROM of Puyo Puyo Sun. This patch fixes it. Full credit goes to YouTube user Clownacy for the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8sI-7S7hAA, “I fixed VS Puyo Puyo Sun’s audio.” UPDATE: A version of the patch for the Japanese rom has just been released on the archive.org page! Thanks to the lovely commenter @NullPointer-BR from that video for explaining how to fix the Japanese rom.Seeing as how widely spread around the internet the fixed rom is now, it will generally not be necessary to apply this patch. If you want to play on Blastem, you will need an unfixed rom, or just reverse the fixes mentioned in the linked YouTube video’s description in a hex editor. When you do that, it will work with the most accurate emulators and most likely real hardware as well.
